Person killed in motorcycle crash on Fulton County Turnpike

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the operator changed lanes and lost control, causing the motorcycle to overturn.

FULTON COUNTY, OHIO, Ohio — One person was killed in a motorcycle crash on the Ohio Turnpike Monday evening in Fulton County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 6 p.m. near State Route 66 in Franklin Township.

OSHP said a motorcycle operated by Daniel P. Kirst, 65, of Akron, New York, was traveling westbound on the Turnpike when Kirst changed lanes and lost control, causing the motorcycle to overturn.

According to OSHP, Kirst was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene of the crash.
