FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Two teenagers were arrested Tuesday morning after a chase with Fresno County Sheriff’s officers.

Officers say the chase began around 2:30 a.m. after they tried to stop a car that had been reported stolen near Shaw and Palm Avenues. Officers say the driver sped away in a zigzag pattern, traveling more than 80 miles per hour.

Officers said the driver entered Highway 41 and ended up near the intersection of Thesta Avenue and University Avenue.

When the driver stopped, the teenagers ran out of the car and were taken into custody.

The teens were taken to Community Regional Medical Center for their injuries. After being released from the hospital, they will be taken to a juvenile detention center.
