Huntington Station pastor accused of sexually abusing teen: police

HUNTINGTON, N.Y. — A pastor was arrested Thursday after he was accused of sexually abusing a young girl in March, Suffolk police said.

The girl’s sister called 911 on Wednesday to report that her 15-year-old sister had been sexually abused by a pastor who works at the Huntington Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 21 West 9th St., Huntington Station, said the police with.

Investigators said Clinton Bucknor, 71, of Huntington, sent the girl an inappropriate photo and text message and had sexual contact with the teen in the church basement in March.

Bucknor was arrested and charged with one count of third-degree criminal solicitation, one count of third-degree sexual abuse and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

He will be held overnight in the Fourth District and is scheduled to be arraigned Friday in First District Court in Central Islip.

“Investigators ask anyone who has additional information or believes they may be a victim to call the Special Victims Unit at 631-852-6531,” the department wrote.
