Swarms of sea drones announce new phase of Houthi attacks on shipping

Security experts say the Houthis’ new tactic of using a swarm of sea drones threatens a phase of more destructive attacks on commercial shipping in the Red Sea.

The first sea drone was deployed against commercial shipping in January, but did not hit any vessels until Evalend Shipping’s 82,000 dwt Tutor (built in 2022) was sunk in June, killing one seaman.
