New Buffalo Bills Player Buys Orchard Park Home

One of the Buffalo Bills’ newest members has purchased a home in Orchard Park that belonged to one of the team’s former assistant coaches.

Defensive end Dawuane Smoot paid $945,000 for a four-bedroom, 4,754-square-foot home, buying it from former defensive backs coach Gill Byrd, according to documents filed July 9 with the Erie County Clerk’s Office.

The house was built seven years ago.

Smoot signed with the Bills in March as a free agent from the Jacksonville Jaguars.

In another residential real estate transaction, the 33rd private residence in Erie County to sell for more than $1 million was recorded July 10 in the county clerk’s office.

Erin Fasolino paid $1.2 million for a five-bedroom, 5,273-square-foot home from Aaron Kalin, according to court records.

The house was built in 2003.

Erie County is on track to set a record for million-dollar-plus home sales, a key economic benchmark in the residential real estate market.
