Atlanta Airport One of Quietest in U.S., New Study Finds – WSB-TV Channel 2

ATLANTA — The world’s busiest airport is also one of the quietest in the country, according to a new study.

MarketWatch looked at every major airport in the United States and compared them based on several factors, including average fares, delayed and canceled flights, TSA wait times and more.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport was ranked second best airport for reducing stress levels.

The researchers found that about 18.5% of flights were delayed and less than 1% were canceled.

Average airfare and security wait times were slightly higher than at the other five major airports, with wait times of 13 minutes and an average fare of $400.40.

The honor of being the most stress-free airport in the country goes to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

Last place in the ranking goes to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.
