Police identify 31-year-old man killed in hit-and-run in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – Richmond police have identified the man killed in a hit-and-run crash on Snead Road on the city’s south side on July 6.

On July 6, at approximately 2:27 a.m., officers were called to the 4900 block of Snead Road for a report of two people being struck by a car.


When officers arrived, they found two adults – a man and a woman – who had been hit while walking on the side of the road, police said.

The man, 31-year-old Rashik Cousins ​​of Richmond, died at the scene. The woman, whose identity has not yet been released, was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
