The Buffalo News No Longer Publishes on Major Holidays

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Buffalo News has stopped printing its newspaper on major holidays.

Readers were out of luck this Independence Day. The Buffalo News will no longer be published on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Last year, The Buffalo News cut 130 jobs.

Formerly located in Buffalo, their printing operations are now located in Cleveland, Ohio.
