The murder of James Deloney in Hope, Arkansas is under investigation

HOPE, Ark. (KTAL/KMSS) – Police are investigating after a Hope man was fatally shot Wednesday evening.

At approximately 10:48 p.m., police responded to a shots fired call in the 900 block of E. 1st St. When they arrived, officers found a man lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound.

He was taken to hospital for treatment where he was later pronounced dead. The victim was identified as James Deloney.

Law enforcement continues to identify witnesses, suspects and evidence in the shooting. They haven’t made an arrest yet.
