Man dies Wednesday after weekend motorcycle crash near Louisville’s Bashford Manor neighborhood | News from WDRB

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (WDRB) — A man died Wednesday in a motorcycle crash near the Bashford Manor neighborhood of Louisville on Saturday.

According to LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell, officers responded to a crash with “serious injuries” on Bardstown Road at Tyler Lane around 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

A witness reported to officers that a motorcycle was traveling north on Bardstown Road at a high rate of speed when it ran a red light at Tyler Lane.

The motorcyclist was thrown from the motorcycle and struck by a car traveling east on Tyler Lane.

According to Mitchell, he was taken to University Hospital with critical injuries.

The man succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday and was identified as 42-year-old Michael Mooreland, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
