Convicted murderer Greg Lynn was attacked in prison less than a week after being found guilty of murder.

Channel 7 reported that a fellow inmate at Melbourne Assessment Prison threw human feces at Lynn last week.

Lynn, 57, was found guilty of the murder of 73-year-old Carol Clay in Melbourne last week when a jury delivered its verdict.

He was found not guilty of the murder of 74-year-old Russell Hill.

Lynn is being held pending sentencing at Melbourne Assessment Prison, where he was allegedly assaulted.

Channel 7 reports that an inmate who knows Ms. Clay’s family asked another inmate to carry out the attack.

The 57-year-old is being held in a protective unit of the prison, where he can have contact with other inmates.
