2 men attack woman with baseball bat on NYC street: NYPD

NEW YORK CITY — A 58-year-old woman was attacked by two unidentified men with a baseball bat as she walked down a Manhattan street last week, police said.

On June 25 at 12:08 p.m., the 58-year-old woman was walking in front of 37 Monroe Street when two men approached her and began hitting her with a baseball bat, police said.

The suspects then fled the scene on foot and ran east along Madison Street, police said.

The victim suffered injuries to his leg and swelling to his head and was taken to New York Presbyterian in Lower Manhattan in stable condition.
