Sergio Perez regrets “really difficult race” in Austria after sidepod was “completely destroyed” in first lap incident

“Unfortunately we took a lot of damage at Turn 4, I think it was at Piastri, and the sidepod was completely destroyed,” explained Perez.

“I just had no load out there, I was sliding around like a duck everywhere, no matter what compound, no matter what stage of the race.

For Perez, this was the latest in a series of difficult weekends. In the four races before Austria, he finished eighth twice and retired twice.
