Thane, June 30 (PTI) – Police in Maharahtra’s Thane district have filed a case against a man who allegedly raped a 20-year-old woman and tried to sell kidneys with her, an official said on Sunday.

According to the FIR, the accused Rahul, who also goes by aliases such as Vasim, Chandan and Kundankumar, sexually assaulted the woman a few days ago at his house in Nalasopara area.

Rahul apparently had contact with two other women in order to engage in organ trafficking with the 20-year-old, the official said.

After he threatened them to do the “job,” the two women took the 20-year-old to a hospital on Saturday to hand her over to Rahul. However, the plan did not work, the official said.
