Houston, Mo. woman killed in crash near Willow Springs

TEXAS COUNTY, Mo. — A Houston, Mo., woman is dead after a crash near Willow Springs.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the crash occurred on US Highway 60, five miles west of Willow Springs around 7:30 a.m. on June 26.

Wanda L. Franklin, 63, was the passenger in a car that left the right side of the road. The car hit an embankment and a tree before stopping.

Franklin was taken to a nearby hospital where she later died. The driver of the vehicle was slightly injured. Neither of them were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.

This is MSHP Troop G’s 13th fatality for 2024.
