One teenager killed, another seriously injured in accident in Williams County

Jennavieve Ebersole, 16, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident early Tuesday morning. A 16-year-old passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

WILLIAMS CENTER, Ohio — A teenager was killed and another was hospitalized with serious injuries after a car crash in Williams County early Tuesday morning.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 16-year-old Jennavieve Ebersole of Bryan was driving south on County Road 13 south of County Road 1 around 5:30 a.m. with another 16-year-old in the passenger seat.

According to OSHP, Ebersole lost control of the vehicle, which left the right side of the road and rolled several times. Ebersole was partially ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 16-year-old passenger was completely thrown out of the vehicle and flown to hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries.

According to OSHP, seat belts were not used in the accident, which is still under investigation.
