The “Superfly” star seemed to be in good spirits and bragged about the activities and hobbies he pursued in prison. He began with:

“I am currently serving a sentence of 50 years to life in prison. After 2 1/2 years in prison, here’s what’s happening.”

Despite his shortcomings as a free man, Kaalan Walking aid noted his achievements so far and said:

“I have currently passed 6 college courses with straight A’s and am currently on track to get my Masters in Sociology, Psychology and Communication. I am currently the leader and speaker for an NA and AA group that helps incarcerated inmates get off and off drugs and alcohol while in prison.”

The entertainer continued:

“I am currently the lead speaker for a group called ‘Fatherless Fathers’ where I coach other inmates of all races and ages and teach them how to deal with the trauma of growing up without a father. I am in constant contact with various gang leaders on the yard, of different races, to make sure there is no unnecessary violence in the facility. I am now a certified barber. I cut all the inmates’ hair for free to give the men a sense of confidence. And finally, I work for .16 cents an hour as a pusher for elderly inmates in wheelchairs who are close to death.”

Towards the end of the caption Walking aid encouraged his fans to keep going regardless of the situation.

“If I motivate myself here to keep going, you can do the same out there. Regardless of your current situation, always remember that God has the final say. Stay resilient.”

As you may remember, in October 2022 Walking aid was sentenced to 50 years to life in prison after being found guilty of raping four women and three teenagers and was required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

In April 2022, a California jury found Walking aid guilty of three counts of rape, one count of assault for the purpose of oral sex, two counts of abuse of a minor and two counts of rape while intoxicated.

According to prosecutors, the actor contacted his victims (including aspiring models) through social media and used his influence to convince them that they had a chance at professional work and meetings with celebrities. It is reported that Walking aid lured the women alone and then raped them. Deputy District Attorney Yasmin Fardghassemi previously said,

“When they said ‘stop,’ he didn’t care.”
