A former Bethany Christian Schools employee has been arrested on child enticement charges.

Goshen Police received a child solicitation report in late April that led to the arrest of 26-year-old Kyle Snyder.

According to Goshen police, the parents of a 17-year-old Christian student from Bethany discovered inappropriate contact between Snyder and their daughter.

Snyder served as assistant theater director at both the high school and middle school, was the girl’s drama teacher and later tutored her in math.

The parents became suspicious and called the police. With the family’s permission, Goshen police examined the girl’s phone and found 34,000 text messages, allegedly from Snyder, and many of them were sexual in nature.

The Goshen News reports that Snyder was fired from Bethany Christian Schools earlier this year for making inappropriate comments to other students during an after-school math tutoring session.
