Two Friday accidents | Community

Local emergency responders were busy Friday afternoon, responding to two accidents. SHOWN: Yankton Police and Yankton County EMS were called to an accident at the intersection of 4th and Capitol Streets at 3:55 p.m. Thursday. According to Yankton Police, a Toyota van was traveling north on Capitol Street and a Kia was traveling west on 4th Street. No one was taken by ambulance to a local health facility. The driver of the Toyota was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
