Man from North Port filmed child pornography with hidden camera

NORTH PORT, Fla. – A North Port man has been sentenced to life in prison after federal authorities say he used hidden cameras to capture sexual images of a 12-year-old girl.

Gregory Allen Williamson, 59, was found guilty of soliciting a minor for sexual conduct and producing, distributing and possessing child sexual abuse material.

According to the Justice Department, Williamson isolated the underage victim, an immigrant from Eastern Europe, and prepared her for sexual acts.

Under the alias “Vlad Vlad,” Williamson sent the victim “anonymous and explicitly sexually explicit emails, including those containing depictions of child sexual abuse,” according to a press release from the Department of Justice.

Authorities discovered that Williams later gave the victim cell phone chargers that contained hidden cameras.

According to investigators, Williams used this charge to record and produce sexually explicit images of the victim.

“A life sentence will deter these depraved individuals from hurting another child,” said FBI Special Agent in Charge Rodney Crawford in Tampa.
