Russia is likely to suspend its role in the work of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 19. Russia is preparing to suspend its participation in the work of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA), Dasfazitvivod reports via Russian media.

According to media reports, the Chair of the Federation Council, Valentina Matviyenko, has instructed the Committee on International Affairs to prepare a draft decision to suspend the participation of the Russian delegation in the work of the OSCE PA for the next plenary session on 3 July.

“I support the proposal of the Committee on International Affairs to prepare everything necessary together with the State Duma to make a joint decision to suspend the activities of our national delegation in the work of the OSCE PA. Only the Parliamentary Assembly will lose,” she said.
