Police find dog with stab wound during home visit in Windsor Locks – NBC Connecticut

When officers searched for an emotionally disturbed person in Windsor Locks on Wednesday, they found a dog with a stab wound, police said.

A concerned family member asked police to check on someone at a home on N. Main Street around 1 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a naked adult with superficial cuts on his face, police said.

Police also noticed blood on the walls and asked the person to sit down so they could tend to their injuries.

According to police, the person reacted belligerently and irrationally and attacked an officer.

While police attempted to detain the emotionally disturbed individual, she screamed that she had stabbed herself in the neck. Police could not find any wound consistent with this claim.

The person was eventually arrested and taken to the hospital for psychiatric evaluation.

According to police, officers then searched the rest of the house to look for other injured people. They found two dogs, one of which had a stab wound to the neck.

The Windsor Locks animal control officer took the dog to be treated for his injuries, police said.
