Mountain Home, Arkansas man arrested for murder after woman found dead

MOUNTAIN HOME, Arkansas (KY3) – A man was arrested after authorities found a woman dead in a Mountain Home home.

According to authorities, 44-year-old Dusty Wheeler was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder.

Officers responded to a home in the 300 block of Sunnyann Lane around 6 a.m. Friday morning. When they arrived, they found a woman dead at the scene. Police say Wheeler was arrested due to the suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

A joint investigation is currently underway by the Mountain Home Police Department and the Arkansas State Police.

Wheeler is being held in the Baxter County Jail on $1,000,000 bail.
