Kroger on Cobb Pkwy closes in Atlanta

ATLANTA — The Atlanta division of Kroger announced plans Wednesday to close its location along Cobb Parkway after 44 years.

The location at 3300 Cobb Pkwy SE will close on Saturday, August 17th and its lease will expire on Friday, August 30th.

A Kroger spokesperson said they would reassign the store’s 70 employees to other locations, and that representatives would meet with them in the coming weeks to discuss their reassignments.

“We appreciate the loyalty and support of our customers and look forward to continuing to serve their needs at nearby Kroger locations,” said Victor Smith, president of Kroger’s Atlanta division.
