Man shot in Sacramento County parking lot; murder investigation underway

SACRAMENTO – An investigation is ongoing into the death of a man who was shot in a Sacramento County parking lot early Sunday morning.

The sheriff’s office posted on social media around 4 a.m. that it was investigating a shooting at 1300 Fulton Avenue in the parking lot of Check Cashing at the corner of Fulton Avenue and Hurley Way in Arden-Arcade.

The man was taken to the hospital but died shortly after transport, officials said.

No information has been released about a suspect, nor has there been any information about what led to the shooting.

Detectives from CSI and Homicide arrived at the scene to take over the investigation.
