Man shot dead in road rage incident in Carroll County

CARROLL COUNTY, Kentucky – A man was shot and killed in a road rage incident in Carroll County Saturday night, Kentucky State Police (KSP) said.

According to KSP, officers were called to a driving aggression incident along I-71 in Carroll County shortly after 7 p.m.

Two vehicles were traveling on I-71 and exited the interstate at exit 43. According to KSP, one of the drivers spoke to dispatch at the time and said the other driver displayed a weapon.

After the vehicles left the highway, they continued on KY-389 before one of the drivers began shooting, according to KSP.

Daniel Shouse, a Carrollton resident, was shot by the other driver, KSP said. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Carroll County Coroner.

KSP has not released the identity of the other driver in the DUI incident or the type of vehicle he was driving.
