Fatal accident claims one life in Greenville County

The South Carolina Highway Patrol confirms one dead and one injured after a driver struck a tree Saturday morning in Greenville County.At around 7:30 a.m. Saturday morning, troopers and the Greenville County Coroner’s Office responded to a crash on State Park Road near Hala Court in Greenville County.According to troopers, a 2005 Dodge pickup truck traveling west on State Park Road around 3 a.m. veered off the road to the right and oversteered, causing the driver to veer off the road to the left and strike a tree.The driver was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries, and the passenger died at the scene.More news:2 people charged, 1 wanted in fatal shooting nearly 2 years ago, officials sayThe Greenville County Coroner says the suspect is 30-year-old Burgandi Josey Blaine Holiday of Greenville.The coroner will conduct an external examination on Holiday on Monday. The South Carolina Highway Patrol confirms one person is dead and one is injured after a driver crashed into a tree in Greenville County Saturday morning.

On Saturday morning around 7:30 a.m., police officers and the Greenville County Coroner’s Office responded to a crash on State Park Road near Hala Court in Greenville County.

According to police, a 2005 Dodge pickup traveling west on State Park Road around 3:00 a.m. veered off the road to the right and oversteered, causing the driver to veer off the road to the left and strike a tree. The driver was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries, and the passenger died at the scene.
