Chattanooga Mocs rising senior Garrett Engle shot a final round of 6-under 66 to win the 2024 Dogwood Invitational. He won by five strokes while shooting 22-under over 72 holes at Druid Hills Golf Club in Atlanta.

Engle scored 67, 67, 66 and 66 to win. His closest competitors were Shubham Jaglan and Bruce Murphy in second place.

Jaglan, who just finished his junior season at South Florida, was a starter on the Bulls’ NCAA Rancho Santa Fe Regionals team, tied for 13th. Murphy was a 2024 SEC All-Freshman pick at Tennessee.

Engle played near-perfect golf with flair, including a double eagle two on the par-5 7th while playing the hole at 6 under for the week.

He added an eagle and 21 birdies on four cards with just four bogeys including just one over his final 37 holes.

What’s next for Mocs? Coach Blaine Woodruff leaves Wednesday, June 12 to coach Team USA at the Toyota Junior World Cup of Golf. The event will take place from June 19 to 22 at Chukyo Golf Club in Toyota City, Japan.
