Illinois CCL owner attacked, three men shot: officials | MyStateline

CHICAGO (WTVO) — A man who had a license to carry a concealed weapon was attacked and shot three men, police said.

According to authorities, the 43-year-old got into an argument with three men he knew in the 400 block of West Wrightwood around 11:23 p.m. on Friday.


Officials said the argument escalated and the men attacked the victim.

In retaliation, the man fired his pistol several times, hitting each of the men, so WLS.

One of the men, 22, suffered a serious gunshot wound to the chest and was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital.

Another 55-year-old man suffered a serious gunshot wound to the neck and was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital.

A 29-year-old man was shot five times in the body and taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition.

The CCL wearer was admitted to Mt. Sinai Hospital for critical blunt trauma.

The man’s gun was found at the scene and Area Five detectives are still investigating, officials said.
