Jeremy Renner expands “A Knives Out Mystery”

Update: How it has become a tradition for the new year Knife out Entry, another cast member has been announced. Mila Kunis will also, after Deadlinebe part of the ensemble.

The writer-director is currently preparing to begin shooting his new film, which is set to begin in the UK in June. Daniel Craig will once again play slow-talking detective Benoit Blanc, and the director is busy assembling his ever-star-studded ensemble for the latest case (described as “the most dangerous case” of Blanc’s career to date).

After his tragic, near-fatal snow plow accident in 2022, Jeremy Renner had a tough road to recovery. But he has bounced back, with a new season of Mayor of Kingstown is already in the can (and debuts this week) and now a big new film role is coming. Renner is the latest name on the cast list for Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Crime Thriller.

Already on board? Josh O’Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Andrew Glenn Close and Kerry Washington, and we can assume that more will be added before production really gets underway. Knife out There is usually a lot of crowding at the entries.

As for when the film might be released in theaters (as with Glass onion) or on Netflix? That’s more of a mystery, though, as the streaming service – which has negotiated a lavish deal with Johnson for two of the films – plans to release the film in 2025.
