Woman shot in the arm in Garner on Tuesday, investigation ongoing

GARNER, NC – A woman is in the hospital after being shot in the arm in Garner Tuesday night.

According to Garner police, a 23-year-old woman was shot in the arm by a male suspect in the 100 block of Avery Street around 9 p.m.

According to police, the man then got into his car, a burgundy Honda Accord, and drove away toward Powell Drive.

The severity of the woman’s injuries is currently unknown, but police believe that she was not the shooter’s target and that it was not a random act.

The investigation is ongoing.
