Long Beach police investigating series of three overnight robberies at local 7-Eleven stores • Long Beach Post News

According to authorities, three 7-Eleven convenience stores in Long Beach were robbed last night. Detectives are currently investigating the series of crimes.

The first robbery occurred around 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Police were dispatched to a convenience store at 3410 Long Beach Blvd. According to police, two men entered the store and went behind the counter, where one of them reached into his waistband as if he had a gun. The suspect demanded cash and took an undisclosed amount of money, Long Beach police said in a statement.

Next, officers were dispatched to a convenience store at 2001 South Street around 12:15 a.m. Sunday, where a suspect seeking to purchase various items allegedly showed the clerk a gun, according to LBPD. The man demanded cash from the register, the store clerk complied with his request and the suspect fled the scene on foot, police said.

The third robbery happenedJust before 4 a.m. Sunday morning, three male and one female suspects entered a convenience store at 5000 Long Beach Boulevard, where one of the male suspects reached over the counter and stole the cash register, the LBPD reported. All four suspects fled the scene before police arrived. No injuries were reported.

No one was injured in any of the crimes, police said. It was initially unclear whether the robberies were related.
