Tina Knowles supports Kelly Rowland after the incident in Cannes

Kelly Rowland receives support from a mother figure in her life, Beyonce‘s mother, Tina Knowlesafter a Incident at the 47th Cannes Film Festival earlier this week.

Just hours after Rowland, 43, commented on the viral incident Knowles, who has known Rowland since the early days of the film, is visibly upset with a security guard at the event. Child of Destiny – Silence haters who negatively market the singer and actress.

“And just like that, @kellyrowland graces another carpet with her incredible beauty, class and grace!!!! Sipping champagne and living her best life,” Knowles, 70, wrote in a Post on Instagramattached a video of Rowland posing in Cannes with Joe Jonas And Evan Ross.

“This just goes to show that stupid monkey won’t stop not showing up!!! He’s on to bigger and better things,” she continued.

Rowland – who follows Knowles on Instagram – has yet to respond to the post. However, on Thursday she responded to questions about the dramatic interaction she had as she climbed the steps of the Palais des Festivals to attend the Marcello Mio Premiere.

In an interview with AP Entertainment, The singer explained that the incident seen in the video and photos – which shows the train of Rowland’s dress being stepped on and a security guard leading her down the carpet – was a case of crossing boundaries.

“The woman knows what happened. I know what happened. And I have boundaries, and I stand by those boundaries, and that’s all,” Rowland told the outlet, adding that she believes the security guard was more hostile toward her than anyone else.

While the online videos had no sound, internet sleuths and lip readers speculated that Rowland told the woman, “Don’t talk to me like that.”

“And there were other women on the carpet who didn’t look quite like me, and they weren’t insulted, pushed down, or told to get off. And I stood firm and she felt like she had to make her point, but I stood firm and that was it,” said the the actress told the outlet.

Rowland has had a long-standing close relationship with Knowles – he even helped to epic Destiny’s Child reunion in the form of a private concert with Queen Bey and Michelle Williams in honor of Knowles’ 70th birthday in January.

“I was totally spoiled this weekend. I even had Destiny’s Child sing to me. How great is that?” said the mother of two in a video posted on Instagram by the time.

She added: “I just want to thank everyone who sent me flowers, everyone who wished me happy birthday. I’ve had so many congratulations. I’ve had so many bonus children – beautiful bonus children – and I just feel so blessed. I love you guys. I love you so much.”

Next month Beyoncé, Williams, Knowles and JAY-Z appeared for Rowland when she premiered her film, Mea Culpain New York City.

“This is my best friend! This is my best friend!!!!! So proud of you Kelly 🙏🏽,” Beyoncé wrote on Instagram after the event, adding a photo of the group.

“❤Forever and always, I love you❤,” Rowland replied.

The actress and singer spoke to ET ahead of the Netflix film’s release and raved about the opportunity to work with Tyler Perry on the project, describing the director as a visionary.

“I was stunned by how focused he was and how he saw things in his brain before they happened. I watched him assess the room and know where to go. His energy and how he maneuvers through the room in a scene is like… I just want to be a fly on the wall just to know what he’s thinking,” she said. “I just love him. His Virgo qualities are just too strong not to love. And I love that he trusts his instincts.”
