Sam Bankman-Fried’s lawyer says he was the worst witness ever

Stanford professor David Mills, who coordinated the defense of FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried, believes his former client “could be at the top of the list because he is the worst person I have ever seen cross-examined.” says in a new interview with Bloomberg. Mills acknowledged that the odds were stacked against the ousted crypto chief, as Bankman-Fried’s fellow executives had entered into plea agreements and testified against him. “I thought it would be almost impossible to win a case with three or four founders all saying you did it,” he said. But Bankman-Fried’s combative, convoluted testimony only made matters worse, he argued. In November, the jury quickly found Bankman-Fried guilty on all seven counts.
