Two dead found in house in Hanford

HANFORD, Calif. (KFSN) – A disturbing scene in Hanford on Sunday as police surrounded a home on East Magnolia Avenue. Detectives are investigating what they believe may be a double homicide.

“Both individuals inside the home were shot,” Hanford Police Lt. Justin Vallin told Action News.

The investigation began at about 8:40 a.m. Sunday morning when a man called 911 to report a “disturbance,” according to police. The caller told dispatch that someone had been shot.

“Shortly afterward, officers arrived at the scene. The front door was unlocked. They checked the house and found two dead people,” Vallin said.

It is unclear who the caller was or if he died at the scene. Police say there is no danger to the public and there are no outstanding suspects.

Authorities are not currently calling it a murder-suicide. They say more questions still need to be answered.

“We are still on site,” Vallin said. “Investigators are still collecting evidence in the house.”
