Police say North Carolina ambulance crashes in High Point

NEW AT 603 HIGH POINT. POLICE SAY AT LEAST ONE PERSON WAS INJURED AFTER AN AMBULANCE ACCIDENT LAST NIGHT. THIS HAPPENED SHORTLY AFTER 10:30 AM WHEN, ACCORDING TO INVESTIGATION REPORTS, A CAR RUN THE RED LIGHT AT THE INTERSECTION OF EASTCHESTER DRIVE AND MAIN STREET AND COLLIDED WITH THE AMBULANCE. WE WERE TOLD NO PEOPLE WERE BEING TRANSPORTED AT THAT TIME. POLICE SAY THE DRIVER

High Point Police tell ambulance the cause of the accident

High Point police are investigating a crash involving an ambulance. Investigators said a car ran a red light at the intersection of Eastchester Drive and Main Street when it collided with the ambulance. The crash happened just after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. Officials said the ambulance was not transporting anyone at the time of the crash. The driver of the car was hospitalized with minor injuries. High Point police are investigating an accident involving an ambulance.

Investigators said a car ran a red light at the intersection of Eastchester Drive and Main Street when it collided with the ambulance.

The accident occurred on Tuesday shortly after 10:30 p.m.

Officials said there was no one in the ambulance at the time of the accident.

The driver of the car was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Authorities did not say whether anyone was arrested or whether charges will be filed.
