Bar stools, bottles thrown during fight at California Buffalo Wild Wings; others flee from gun

Investigators in Northern California were searching Monday for a suspect who allegedly brandished a gun Saturday night during a fight at a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant that involved bar stools and glass bottles being thrown.

The fight happened around 9:30 p.m. at Buffalo Wild Wings on Harter Parkway, a few blocks west of Highway 99 in Yuba City. Officers responded to the fight with bar stools and glass bottles thrown inside the restaurant, the Yuba City Police Department said in a news release Monday.

Police said a gun fell to the ground during the fight and was pointed at another person, prompting other restaurant patrons to flee outside for safety.

When officers arrived on scene, they learned that the armed suspect was inside the restaurant and was seen taking the gun into the kitchen. Police said officers entered the restaurant and found that the people involved in the fight, as well as the armed suspect, were no longer there.

Witnesses gave police dispatchers a description and license plate number of a suspect vehicle, but the vehicle was no longer at the scene.

Authorities reviewed security camera video from Buffalo Wild Wings and determined that two people started the fight.

Police identified a 23-year-old man as one of the agitators and arrested him on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. The other instigator, the suspect in possession of the weapon, has not yet been identified, according to the police department.

Investigators have asked anyone with relevant information about this case to call the police department at 530-822-4660.
