Oklahoma City police arrest man after two people were set on fire

INVESTIGATORS SAY A COUPLE WERE SLEEPING IN A HOMELESS COMMUNITY WHEN THE SUSPECT DOUSED AN INCENTRIC AGENT ON THEM AND THEN SET THEM ON FIRE. THE COUPLE RAN TO A NEARBY HOUSE FOR HELP AND WERE THEN TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL. THE WOMAN IS STILL IN CRITICAL CONDITION. THE MAN COULD LOSE A LIMBS.

Just after 6:50 a.m. Tuesday, authorities received a call that someone was on fire near West Hefner Road and Western Avenue. They found two victims and took them to an area hospital. A witness told KOCO 5 that he was taking out the trash when he saw a woman on fire and helped her by getting her into the shower. He then saw another person on fire and said he put out the flames on the man’s legs and arms.”I was taking trash out to the side of the road and saw the young lady on fire from the waist up. That’s the kind of thing you see on TV. I’ve never seen anything like that in my life,” said Cory Spencer, who lives next door to the crime scene. “I took her and put her in the shower. She turned the shower on herself and put the fire out. She came out, sat on the couch and asked for some water.” Spencer told KOCO 5 her skin was badly bruised when she got out of the shower. Oklahoma City police believe the two homeless men were intentionally set on fire. Police have arrested a man on arson charges in connection with the investigation into two people who were set on fire in northwest Oklahoma City on Tuesday morning.

Just after 6:50 a.m. Tuesday, authorities received a call that someone had been set on fire near West Hefner Road and Western Avenue. They found two victims and took them to a nearby hospital.

A witness told KOCO 5 he was taking out the trash when he saw a woman on fire and he helped her by getting her into the shower. He then saw another person on fire and he put out the flames on the man’s legs and arms.

“I was taking garbage to the curb and saw that the young woman was on fire from the waist up. That’s what you see on TV. I’ve never seen anything like that in my life,” said Cory Spencer, who lives next door to the crime scene. “I took her and put her in the shower. She turned the shower on herself and put the fire out. She came out, sat on the couch and asked for some water.”

Spencer told KOCO 5 that her skin was severely damaged when she got out of the shower.

Oklahoma City police believe the two homeless men were intentionally set on fire and said the suspect may have thrown accelerant on the man and woman while they were sleeping.
