Suspect arrested, man seriously injured in shooting in Tulsa following domestic dispute

Tulsa police have now arrested a suspect who allegedly shot a man in the head during a fight early Monday morning.

Investigators said the shooting happened just after midnight near East Admiral Court and North Delaware Avenue and a man was shot in the head. Tulsa police said a woman and her boyfriend were arguing when she called her stepfather to pick her up.

The stepfather came later and intervened in the argument.

At one point in the argument, Tulsa police said, the stepfather fired shots into the air and a short time later shot the boyfriend. The boyfriend was taken to the hospital in critical condition and underwent surgery. The stepfather left the scene and has not been found. Police interviewed the woman and several others who may have witnessed the shooting.

“There are two witnesses here who saw the shooting and are speaking with officers. Detectives, crime scene, murder weapon, detectives are en route to investigate everything and examine the crime scene,” said TPD Captain Matt Arnold.

No one else was injured.
