Man found dead in motel parking lot after shooting in northeast Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A man was found dead in the parking lot of a motel late Saturday night following a shooting in the Madison South neighborhood of northeast Portland, Portland police said.

Just before midnight, officers responded to a report that a man had been shot in the 3600 block of Northeast 82nd Avenue. When they arrived, they found the man dead in the motel parking lot.

All possible suspects had already left the scene before the police were called and no arrests were made, officials say.

Northeast 82nd Avenue was closed between Northeast Milton Street and Northeast Beech Street for the duration of the investigation.
