Police investigate shooting on Chapman Street

Police said two men were servicing a machine at a convenience store when two armed men approached.

HOUSTON — Houston police said a shooting left one person injured in the Near Northside Thursday morning.

It happened around 9 a.m. on Chapman Street, near Gaines Street.

A surveillance camera captured what happened next.

The workers were also armed. Shots were exchanged and one of them was injured.

Police said the man’s condition was stable. The suspected shooters fled the scene in a van.
