One person in critical condition after large police response in Kansas City, Kansas

KANSAS CITY, Kansas (KCTV) – Details remain unclear about a weekend shooting that left one person seriously injured, despite a heavy police presence in Kansas City.

Kansas City, Kansas Police told KCTV5 News that on Sunday, June 30, at around 2 p.m., police officers gathered to show a large presence near 56th and Swartz Road.https://www.kckpd.org/Home

During the incident, first responders reported that one person sustained a gunshot wound. They were taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

As of 5:15 p.m., KCKPD stated that no one had been arrested in connection with the incident. No further information about the incident, including the reasons for the large police deployment, has been released.
