Man arrested at Regions Hospital, had Molotov cocktails in his car, according to police

St. Paul, Minnesota – St. Paul police arrested a man at Regions Hospital last week after suspected incendiary devices were found in his car.

According to St. Paul police, an off-duty St. Paul police officer was working overtime at the hospital around 9:30 a.m. last Thursday when security asked him for assistance.

According to police, security forces suspected that a man in the hospital might be in possession of Molotov cocktails.

The officer looked into the man’s car and reported seeing a bucket of possible incendiary devices – individual containers of an unknown liquid with rags sticking out of the tops. Police also said there was a crossbow and an arrow in the car.

Officers arrested the man and found a large knife in his sleeve. According to St. Paul police, narcotics were also found on him.

He was booked into the Ramsey County Jail on charges of possession of an incendiary device and possession of a controlled substance.

According to police, tests on site showed that the liquid in the containers was flammable. Further tests are being carried out.
