The execution of a search warrant in Marietta on Monday led to the arrest of a man on drug charges and a Tyler County woman in connection with a stolen car.

Barry Ray Robinson, 25, of Marietta, was arrested during the search, according to a news release from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, which did not specify where the search took place. Agents from the Southeast Ohio Major Crimes Task Force seized two firearms, one of which was loaded, and two baggies of methamphetamine (10.17 grams and 0.67 grams). Drug paraphernalia, including digital scales, smoking devices and clear baggies, were also seized as evidence.

Robinson was arrested and charged with two counts of drug trafficking, one count each of drug possession and possession of a weapon while under disability, all of which are third-degree felonies, the press release states.

During the search, officers were told there was a stolen vehicle outside belonging to Anastasia Dainelle Thomas, 22, 402 South Fourth Ave., Paden City, the release said. Officers found the white 2019 Chevrolet Cruze, which had been reported stolen in Tyler County.

After being advised of her rights, Thomas admitted the vehicle was stolen, the release said. She was arrested and charged with fourth-degree receiving stolen goods.
