The Nebraska State Patrol arrests two people following a child sexual assault investigation

Two were arrested following an investigation into a reported sexual assault of a child in Jefferson County.

According to the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP), they first received a report of a sexual assault on a child in April, and on May 2, detectives arrested 40-year-old Brandon Myers of Fairbury on charges of third-degree assault, third-degree sexual battery and assault Child abuse.

NSP said Myers, an employee of the Jefferson County Jail, was housed at the Thayer County Jail.

After further investigation, Bobbi Myers, 44, of Fairbury, wife of Brandon Myers, was arrested on Monday, May 7, for child abuse and failure to report child abuse.

Bobbi Myers was booked into the Jefferson County Jail.
