Two Uzbeks were accused of raping a woman in Moscow

The Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Moscow has initiated a criminal case into the rape of a woman in northwest Moscow, TASS reported, citing the government.

“A criminal case has been initiated under Article 131, Part 2, Clause ‘a’ of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (rape by a group of persons),” the statement said.

According to the investigation, on the night of June 20, two men brutally attacked and raped an unknown woman near a house on Stratonavtov Street in Moscow.

“Currently, two citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan have been detained and criminal proceedings have been initiated against them,” the capital’s investigative authority reported.

During the investigation, the suspects pleaded guilty and confirmed their statements during the on-site evidence gathering.

Forensic medical and forensic psychiatric examinations have been ordered in connection with the case. The investigation will also examine whether the defendants comply with applicable immigration laws.

In addition, it is worth noting that recently an Uzbek man was detained on a beach in Moscow. He is accused of sexually assaulting two underage girls. The incident occurred on June 16 on the beach “Beloe Ozero” on Zaozernoy Street. A 14-year-old girl, bathing with her 15-year-old friend, noticed that someone was touching her legs in the water.

The girl’s mother reported the situation to a lifeguard on the beach and asked him to call the police. Police officers arrived at the scene and arrested a 23-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan.
