Whitney Houston Still Hitting Milestones, Even a Decade After Her Death

The songs that Whitney Houston recorded during her lifetime remain incredibly popular to this day. A handful of the singles she shared will likely go down as some of the most beloved pop, dance, and R&B hits of all time, no matter how much time passes.

Fans of the late Houston around the world continue to buy and stream her most famous tracks, and their attention keeps her on the charts. This week, the singer hits a special milestone in one of the most important music markets in the world, proving once again that she is still adored by millions.

One of the Grammy winner’s most popular compilations, I will always love you: the best ofis still in the charts in the UK. From that point on, the song has now been in that country’s album chart for 156 weeks, or exactly three years.

I will always love you: the best of is the second Houston project to reach this milestone. Before this compilation reached the chart of the most consumed albums in this country for three years, another collection of his most popular songs also achieved the feat. The ultimate collection has so far racked up 386 frames somewhere on the list, more than twice as many weeks as his last win.

This week, I will always love you: the best of actually manages to climb the UK Albums Chart, but just barely. The whole raises a level to n°66.

In the past, Houston’s greatest hits set has come very close to reaching the top tier of the UK albums tally, but so far it has missed the arena by a few spaces. The collection has already peaked at number 13 on the list.

Houston died suddenly in February 2012. For over a decade, her legacy has remained strong and she remains not only popular, but revered as one of the greatest voices of all time.
