FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Happy Tuesday!

Our heat wave continues across much of the Eastern U.S., which means for us here in Central Ohio, we’ll continue to contend with triple-digit feel temperatures, muggy weather, and the possibility of sudden thunderstorms.

Today we expect air temperatures to reach a maximum of around 37 degrees, but the temperature will feel more like 38 degrees. The sky will be partly cloudy, with isolated thunderstorms, as heat and humidity increase during the afternoon and evening.

On Wednesday, temperatures will be around 35 degrees again, but the humidity will start to drop slightly. It will still be muggy outside.

Thursday to Saturday are expected to be the hottest days of the year, with highs between 35 and 40 degrees, and perceived temperatures will once again be in the triple digits. For this reason, heat warnings remain in effect across the region.

In addition to the heat, we have a very high UV index over the next few days, so make sure you have sunscreen on hand. Stay hydrated and wear light colors. And always be aware of pets on the sidewalk.
