1 person dies after collision with semi-trailer on ramp to I-65N in Shepherdsville

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (WDRB) — A man died Friday morning when he crashed into the back of a semi-trailer on an Interstate 65 North ramp.

According to Shepherdsville Police Chief Steve Schmidt, it happened around 2 a.m. on the northbound ramp at the Shepherdsville exit, near Highway 44.

The investigation revealed that the driver struck the semi-trailer after it drove off the ramp. The driver died at the scene of the accident. His name was not released.

According to Schmidt, the driver of the semi-trailer was not injured.
