Suspect arrested in Brockton, Vermont stabbing – NBC Boston

A man accused of a fatal double-stabbing attack in Brockton, Massachusetts, was arrested in Vermont, authorities said Wednesday.

Kevin Digregorio, 33, of Randolph was arrested after he was found sleeping in his car on the road in Lunenberg, Vermont, Wednesday morning, the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office said. He is accused of stabbing 59-year-old William Hewlett to death Monday night on Melrose Avenue in Brockton.

A second victim, identified only as a 61-year-old man, was treated at South Shore Hospital.

Digregorio faces murder and other charges pending extradition to Massachusetts.

The public prosecutor’s office stated that the incident did not appear to have been a random act of violence.
